Hip-hop artist to appears at schools

RAPID CITY - The YMCA of Rapid City will sponsor presentations by hip-hop artist Red Cloud at school assemblies and other events today through Saturday.
Red Cloud, who grew up in the Los Angeles area "with an adoptive family that was significantly into a gang lifestyle," will speak about how school gave him a positive direction in life, according to a news release from the YMCA.
Today, Red Cloud will speak at Lincoln Academy from 12:50 p.m. until 1:50 p.m.
On Friday, Sept. 16, he will be at North Middle School from 1:50 p.m. until 3:10 p.m.
On Saturday, Red Cloud will help at the YMCA's Midnight Alternatives program from 8 p.m. until midnight.
