Sacred Circle hires staff

RAPID CITY -- Two staff changes happened during December at a national American Indian domestic-violence cessation center.
-- Elena Giacci of Albuquerque, N.M., has accepted the position of anti-sexual-violence education specialist at Sacred Circle, National Resource Center to End Violence Against Native Women in Rapid City.
Giacci will lead three new workshops offered through Sacred Circle's Partnership Program. They will include "Tribal Casinos - How can an administrator or supervisor respond to sexual harassment, sexual violence and domestic violence;" "Community education and media awareness to end sexual violence against native women;" and "Workplace violence and employee assistance programs in Indian Country."
-- Shannon Clifford of Pine Ridge has accepted Sacred Circle's offer as new project assistant. After six years of service, Donnalyn Snider recently resigned the position of project assistant to work at a Pine Ridge probation office on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
