LITTLE EAGLE — Officials from the FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs are investigating the case of a Little Eagle man who was missing for 14 days and later found dead in a field.
A news release by Mike McCoy, assistant special agent in charge of District I of the BIA, said Clayton Paul Elling, 53, was last seen on the Standing Rock Reservation on March 9.
He was found Thursday in a remote cattle pasture by volunteer searchers who used vehicles and horses to find him, authorities said.
Elling’s case is currently under investigation by BIA and FBI agents.
See Elling’s obituary on page B2.
