LEAGUE BOWLING: Association president writes to R.C. bowlers

With mixed emotions, we view the end of our separate Men's and Women's Bowling Association. Because of the comfort and security of such stable organizations, we wonder what the future holds. "Everything is going to change, who will step up to take charge, what will the new rules be like?" Are just a few of the comments that have been overheard.
These and many other good questions were addressed at our annual meetings, which shows that bowlers do care about their sport.
I personally feel that we made an excellent choice in electing Shawn Nielson as our new president. He has the experience and organizational skills to keep our association moving forward.
I think Shawn will have a great Board of Directors to work with.
The veterans who chose to continue serving, already know the commitment involved and we say thanks, and welcome aboard to our new members.
We especially want to thank all the men and women who previously served in these positions.
All bowlers should be available when asked, to assist on a committee or organizing a tournament.
I and my former board members would also like to thank you for your confidence in us and for allowing us to serve this association. I'm sure this transition will have benefits for all of us.

President, Rapid City Bowling Association
