Democratic candidates plan debate in Winner

WINNER -- Democrat gubernatorial candidates Jack Billion and Dennis Wiese will debate at a joint appearance at the 4-H Center in Winner on Wednesday, May 24.

The event, beginning at 7 p.m. CDT, is free and open to the public.

The format will include 10 minutes of opening remarks with a five-minute rebuttal by each candidate. Written questions will be accepted from the floor by moderator Bob Simpson, according to a news release. Written questions may also be mailed to Simpson at 32551 271st St., Hamill, S.D. 57534 or may be e-mailed to jsimpson@gwtc.net.

The candidates will also have a chance to question each other.
