Running Strong for American Indian Youth will match donations made to the Cheyenne River Youth Project Teen Center on Cheyenne River Indian Reservation until Aug. 1.
Oglala Lakota Billy Mills, Running Strong's national spokesperson and Olympic gold medalist, recently announced the match program for the youth center.
"We are so close (to completion)," Mills said in a news release.
The fundraising program will match all donations up to $500,000.
The group also invites people to join the week-long 17th Annual Running Strong Reservations Tour in September.
They will spend two nights in Cheyenne River and attend a powwow in the new center, complete with art and dance space, a counseling center, internet cafe and basketball court.
