Seminar to address legal issues affecting ranching

A free lunch seminar, Legal Developments Affecting Ranching & Farming, will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 2, during the Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
The event is being sponsored by the law firm, Gunderson, Palmer, Goodsell & Nelson LLP and the Black Hills Stock Show Foundation.
A complimentary lunch will be held at noon in the Gold Room in the Stockmen’s Club, followed by the seminar and a question-and-answer period from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Red Room at the Stockmen’s Club in the north end of the civic center.
The seminar will feature Marty J. Jackley on “Hot Topics of Interest”; Thomas E. Simmons, “Asset Protection 101 & Beyond”; Shane Penfield, “South Dakota Corporate Farming Law”; and Jonathan Oostra, “The Land Company — Is It Right For You?”
Space is limited to 75 people.
