Classic match-up?
It may not rival the Boise State-Oklahoma football game, but the Lyman-White River boys basketball game Friday night in White River has broad implications as far as the polls are concerned.
Unbeaten Lyman was ranked No. 8 in the first Class A ratings of the season, while White River, which has lost only to Platte, which is No. 6 in Class A, is No. 4 in Class B.
Close contests have been the rule for Lyman, which has captured three overtime games and another by two points.
Can Lyman hold down the high-scoring Louie Krogman, who is averaging 32 points per game? Will it be a "moral" victory to hold him under 30?
This will be a "can't miss" game for fans in the White River area.
