Quilters guild hosting round-up

RAPID CITY — The Black Hills Quilter’s Guild is hosting a “Quilter’s Round-up” next week at the Fabric and Textile Warehouse at 913 E. North St. in Rapid City.

The event will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Feb. 2. Demonstrations will be at 1 p.m. on each of those days.

On Monday, there will be a presentation on “Bias Binding.” Tuesday will feature lessons on making material post cards. Wednesday will feature “no tear paper piecing.” On Thursday, “free motion quilting” will be featured. Friday will feature a demonstration on “hand applique.”

Quilters are encouraged to bring their own machines and can either work on their own projects or help the Black Hills Quilter’s Guild, which is sponsoring the event, with their projects.
