· Saturday Night Alive, a fellowship of Christian singles, will host a session on finances at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Christian Life Ministries, 1948 N. Plaza Drive. It will teach practical and biblical principles for handling the resources God has given.
Bunco night will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at CLM.
Young adult service
· SPEARFISH n The River is a new non-denominational worship service at 7 p.m. on Thursdays that will meet at Mt. View Baptist Church, off exit 12 on I-90.
The River is a worship experience designed by young adults for young adults that will focus on passionate worship, relevant teaching and true community.
Musical performance
· RAPID CITY — Contagious, a five-piece Christian worship rock band from Vidalia, Ga., will give a free concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at Canyon Lake Church of God, 1829 Hillsview Dr. The band offers a unique sound in the Christian music world and has played with Jeremy Camp and Todd Agnew.
Anniversary of Faith
· RAPID CITY n Faith Lutheran Church will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year as Bishop Andrea DeGroot Nesdahl opens a year-long celebration on Feb. 17-18 at the church.
Nesdahl, bishop of the South Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is the guest speaker at regular services Saturday, Feb. 17, at 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Dr. Howard C. Peterson, a charter member of Faith Lutheran, also will speak on the first years of the church’s history. The public is invited to join the celebration.
