The Sturgis couple arrested Thursday, accused of running a marijuana-growing operation at their home, have yet to be formally charged, according to the Meade County State's Attorney's Office.
Herb and Nancy Ulrich were arrested after a large number of mature marijuana plants were found in the backyard of their home on Vanocker Drive.
Authorities said there were plants growing in the yard and in a greenhouse at the residence.
An anonymous call from a citizen tipped off Sturgis Police, who served a search warrant with assistance from the Meade County Sheriff's Office and U.S. Marshals Office.
Assistant Sturgis Police Chief Branden Bestgen said the Ulrichs likely will be charged with intent to distribute, among other charges.
