Winning Powerball ticket sold in state

PIERRE -- Someone in South Dakota bought a Powerball ticket for last Saturday's drawing that is worth $200,000.

The winner got the first five numbers right and has 6 months to collect the money.

The ticket should be signed and put in a safe place until it can be verified at a state lottery office in Pierre or Sioux Falls, said Norm Lingle, state lottery director. Those offices were closed Monday in observance of Native Americans' Day.

Two other second-prize tickets worth $200,000 each were sold in Minnesota and Indiana.

No one matched all six numbers in Saturday's Powerball drawing, and the estimated jackpot on Wednesday night will be $20 million.
