Nick Tolsma earns honor from ESPN

MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan University sophomore punter Nick Tolsma has been named Second-Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII.
Tolsma, a Rapid City native, has a 3.73 grade-point average as a pre-medicine major. He averaged 39.6 yards per punt as a sophomore this season to rank second in the GPAC in punting. He ended the season with 21 punts inside the 20 yard line and had a long punt of 66 yards. He is one of only five NAIA players on the first and second teams in the college division of District VII.
Tolsma earned all-GPAC second-team honors as a sophomore and was an all-GPAC honorable mention pick as a true freshman.
