MADISON -- The Board of Regents has approved adding health-related academic programs at three state universities.
Meeting in Madison this week, the board approved a bachelor's degree in health sciences at the University of South Dakota, a minor in health at Black Hills State University, and a certificate in applied gerontology at Northern State University.
Regents President Harvey Jewett says the programs will prepare students for jobs in what are becoming high-demand health care fields.
