High winds have once again led Rapid City Public Works officials to close the municipal landfill.
In a news release, city officials said high winds and safety concerns forced them to close the landfill to cars, pickups and other small vehicles.
According to the release, the landfill may reopen later today if winds decrease to less than 30 mph.
