Transplant/dialysis support group
The Transplant/Dialysis Support Group will meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Conference Room 1 (basement level) in Regional Rehabilitation Institute, 2908 Fifth St.
The group is open to all
people interested in organ donation and transplant, who are or support a person on dialysis, have a transplant of any kind, are a living donor or have had a loved one who was a donor.

Holistic moms group changes meeting date
Black Hills Holistic Moms will change its meetings to
the second Monday of the month.
Hosted by Cindy Dumdy, who will speak on Reiki, the next meeting will begin at
6:30 p.m. Monday, March 10, at 13648 Quartz Canyon Place.
Alternative child birth classes set for spring
Treese Morford DeBoer, a certified hynobirthing practitioner, wellness home consultant and clinical social worker, will begin a five-week series of hypnobirthing classes starting March 19. Cost is $200 and includes classes, book and teaching materials.
Another option is a weekend class from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays, March 15, and April 5. Lunch is on your own.

Choose 2 Move winners announced
Participants in Healthy South Dakota’s Choose 2 Move challenge started the new year by logging more than 10,000 hours of physical activity. The month-long challange began Jan. 15 and drew 65 total teams as well as 873 individuals.
Participants totaled 11,264 hours of vigorous-intensity physical activity or 16,896 hours of moderate-intensity physical activity. Recommendations call for able adults to get 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic physical activity five days a week or 20 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity three days a week.
Challenge participants used the www.HealthySD.gov Web site to track their physical activity.
The three teams with the highest point totals were Sante of Fort Pierre, Nurses on the Go of Redfield and the Dynamic Duo of Pierre. The individuals with highest point totals were Angie Usselman of Aberdeen, Cindy VanGerpen of Brookings and Barbara Diniger of Brookings.
