NAU names new administrators

National American University has named a new provost. Sam Kerr will have overall responsibility for coordination of all university academic matters across a 17-campus system located in seven states. Kerr will also continue to serve as general counsel for the university system. Kerr holds a master’s degree in education administration, a juris doctorate and a doctorate in education.
Marilyn Holmgren, who recently completed her Ph.D. program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, has assumed the position of associate provost and system vice president for curriculum and instruction. Holmgren will provide leadership and direction in all areas related to curriculum development, instruction and student learning.
Also, the university announced that Ann Larson, dean of academic affairs for distance learning, and Karine Blackett, manager of special projects and career services for distance learning, have both earned doctorate degrees in education.
