Baseball teams vying for district title

RAPID CITY — The Little League ND/SD District 1 Tournament is now being played at Harney Little League Fields.

The tournament runs through Thursday with the winner advancing to Indianapolis, Ind., where teams are hoping to punch a ticket to Williamsport, Pa., for the Little League World Series.

Rushmore plays Canyon Lake in a semifinal tonight, while Sturgis, Harney, Timberline and Pine Ridge played games Monday night in the consolation bracket.

The championship game is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. with one more game possible given the result in the double-elimination tournament.

If a second game is needed to decide a champion it will be played at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
