An upgrade of user computer systems at Rapid City Public Library operations on Quincy and Van
Buren streets will ultimately mean faster file searching. But starting Monday, Aug. 11, patrons
will encounter temporary service disruptions during the transition.
The changes are part of a statewide technology update implemented by the South Dakota Library
Network.
The library has a number of back-up systems to help serve users. The project is set for
completion Aug. 15.
