A Box Elder man required medical treatment after an altercation early Thursday, and his wife was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.

Box Elder Police Chief John Keegan said that Rosalynd and Lance Miner were each injured in an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation at their Valley Village mobile home park residence. Lance Miner, 36, suffered a deep laceration to his forearm; Rosalynd Miner, 33, suffered minor injuries. Officers said they believe the woman used a large kitchen knife during the fight. Lance Miner was treated at Rapid City Regional Hospital and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Three children who were in the home during the 5:30 a.m. incident were turned over to relatives, Det. Ron Malcom said. The investigation is continuing.
