Library wants help naming bookworm

The Rapid City Public Library downtown got a welcome addition at the beginning of 2008 when local wood sculptor Tim Amos carved a tree stump on the corner of 7th and Quincy Streets into a sculpture of a bookworm, headed towards the library with an armful of books.
So far, the bookworm remains nameless.
The library is asking elementary-school-age kids to help provide a great name for the bookworm. Contest entry forms went out to public elementary school students at the beginning of September. The library hopes kids will send in some great suggestions by the contest deadline, Sept. 30.
