CHADRON, Neb. — The Chadron State College football team is in the playoffs for a third straight year, as announced by the NCAA Division II Football Committee on Sunday.

The Eagles, who claimed their third consecutive RMAC championship on Saturday, finished the regular season with a 10-1 record to earn the No. 3 seed in Super Region 3. The Eagles will host sixth-seeded Wayne State of Nebraska on Saturday at Elliott Field in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Division II Playoffs. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.

Wayne State, 9-2 overall and 8-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, will be playing in its first-ever Division II playoff game. The Wildcats have won seven games in a row, including a 31-16 victory over the University of Mary on Saturday. The Eagles, who will be playing in the D-II playoffs for the seventh time, defeated Mary in the season opener, 37-17.

Other teams in Super Region 3 include No. 1 seed Grand Valley State, No. 2 seed Minnesota-Duluth, No. 4 seed Ashland and No. 5 seed Minnesota State.

Grand Valley State will play the winner of Ashland-Minnesota State, while Minnesota-Duluth will meet the CSC-Wayne State winner. Both of those games will be during the second round on Nov. 22.
