Scott said he would be taking a position with Universal Athletics as a representative in the western South Dakota region. According to Albers, Scott will likely stay in the Spearfish area for now.
A news conference has been scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Donald Young Center on the BHSU campus in Spearfish.
According to the university's sports information department, a search for a new coach is already under way.
