An 18-year-old Rapid City man pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and aggravated assault charges in court Tuesday.
Quintez Provancial is accused of second degree kidnapping for detaining his girlfriend on Oct. 4. Provancial is also facing two alternative counts of aggravated assault for using a vehicle as a weapon to threaten the woman. Misdemeanor assault charges were also filed against Provancial
If convicted, Provancial could spend 15 years in prison for the kidnapping charge and 15 years for an aggravated assault conviction. Provancial remains in the Pennington County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
