These senior nursing students were part of the Advanced Population Based Nursing Class that traveled to four Hispanic communities in southern Texas to access and understand the medical needs of those communities. The group learned they may have provided some of the first health care that the Hispanic community members had received.
The South Dakota senior nursing students were Mackenzie Aalbu, Trista Borgwardt, William Davis, Abby Denzin, Shauna Ernster, Erin Fahrner, Becky Goodrich, Jade Hauser, Amber Pinkowski, Chanda Powell, Carrie Sandhoff, Ariel Smith-Lee, Erin Stadheim, Jennifer Stiles, Cali Terveen and Jill Wilgers.
