Construction crews will begin work Monday on a 1-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 14A in Lead.
The work includes concrete pavement repair and joint sealing on a stretch from mile marker 36 to 37.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times to keep delays minimal for travelers, according to a news release from the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
Although the project is expected to take several weeks to complete, work will be suspended from July 23 through Aug. 10 because of increased traffic during the Sturgis motorcycle rally.
