A statewide 4-H Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) camp for youth ages 11-13 will be held Wednesday through Saturday, June 3-6, at Camp Bob Marshall near Custer.
The South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service 4-H staff will run the science-focused camp. With a focus on robotics, forensic science, rocketry, GPS, chemistry and other science subjects, the camp is for 4-H members and nonmembers who registered last month.
Extension 4-H/youth development educator Amy Frerichs said the new camp includes traditional camping activities such as campfires and canoeing as well as science education.
Camp registration is $50, and the deadline to register is May 15. Registration forms are available at county extension offices or call Frerichs at 642-6200, or e-mail Amy.Frerichs@sdstate.edu.
