Gov. Mike Rounds says he is still looking to find another source of money to help provide laptop computers for South Dakota high school students.

The Legislature rejected the governor's request for about $3 million to keep the laptop program going for a third year. Appearing on the Dakota News Network radio stations, Rounds said he hopes to find private or public money to pay for the program.

Senate Appropriations Chairman Jerry Apa of Lead says private funding would be fine, but no state funds should be used because the Legislature decided not to fund the laptop program.
