Dana J. Medlin, associate professor at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, has been named a Fellow of ASM International, The Materials Information Society, which serves the materials science and engineering profession.
The honor provides recognition of members for distinguished contributions in the field of materials science and engineering.
Medlin was cited "for outstanding contributions to innovative design and development of medical devices, dedication to the development and education of future medical device professionals and prolonged understanding service to ASM."
