T. Boone Pickens, a billionaire who earned his fortune during 50 years of working as an oil and gas developer, will be in Rapid City Wednesday, Aug. 20, to talk about his Pickens Plan.
The event is scheduled in Rushmore Hall at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. Doors open at 2 p.m., and the event begins at 2:30 p.m.
The Pickens Plan addresses what Pickens identifies as the single biggest crisis facing America today - the growing and dangerous dependence on foreign oil. This is part of a meeting series that will be held across the "wind belt" since he launched the Pickens Plan (www.pickensplan.com) on July 8.
