Mountain sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski will be honored Monday on the anniversary of his death on Oct. 20, 1982.
Admission to Crazy Horse Memorial will be waived in lieu of three cans of food per person for the KOTA Care & Share Food Drive. Visitors also can walk to his tomb, where the public normally has no access, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and then until 4:30 p.m. after a mountain blast at 2 p.m.
The nonprofit memorial, on U.S. Highway 16/385 between Hill City and Custer, honors the historic contributions and living culture of Native Americans.
