Rob Miller, the former Pennington County equalization director who resigned earlier this year, has been hired as a temporary consultant for the equalization office.
The Pennington County Commission hired Miller to handle questions from the board or other county officials, as needed, until a new equalization director is named, according to deputy state's attorney Jay Alderman, who advises the commission on legal matters.
"They just wanted to be able to tap Rob's expertise if they needed it," Alderman said.
Miller will be paid $100 an hour for his services.
Commissioners are currently reviewing applications for the equalization director's post, Alderman said.
