The South Dakota Campaign for Healthy Families today will launch its effort against this fall's ballot measure to restrict abortions in the state.
Directors of the ACLU, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and SD Campaign for Healthy Families will meet at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., to discuss the proposed ban on abortion.
In 2006, South Dakota voters rejected a law that outlawed abortion in the state by a 56 percent to 44 percent margin. This fall, South Dakotans will once again be faced with an abortion ban on the November ballot.
