RAPID CITY - A trial date has yet to be set in the case of a 20-year-old carnival worker accused of raping a girl in August in Rapid City.

Arthur Henderson is charged with fourth-degree rape and faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison if convicted.

He is accused of having sex with a girl between the ages of 13 and 16 in August. Henderson was employed as a carnival worker at the Central States Fair when the incident is alleged to have happened.

Henderson's attorney, Paul Winter, and Ryan Ryder, deputy state's attorney for Pennington County, discussed several motions at a hearing Thursday before 7th Circuit Judge Merton B. Tice.

Henderson was not present for the hearing.

He was released on bond and was allowed by Tice to return home to Texas.
