Three Rapid City teens are in Pennington County Jail facing multiple charges of vandalism and an assault charge related to alleged BB gun shooting sprees.
Jeremy Nye, Shawn Krick and Patrick Greenfield, all 18, were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and a misdemeanor assault, according to the Rapid City Police Department.
Police allege that Greenfield was responsible for shooting a bicyclist with a BB gun from a moving vehicle Oct. 3. Authorities also allege that on Oct. 15 and Nov. 9, all three suspects - taking turns with the BB gun - fired at vehicles and homes, leaving a total of 31 victims and causing an estimated $11,000 damage in broken and cracked windows.
Each is charged with felony vandalism, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine upon conviction.
Greenfield is additionally charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly shooting the cyclist. He faces a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $2,000 fine if convicted.
The suspects are being held on $1,500 bond.
