HOT SPRINGS - Milly Sheldon of Crawford, Neb., has cut back on exhibiting at some arts and crafts shows because of high gas prices.

But she isn't willing to give up on the Hot Springs Main Street Arts & Crafts Festival.

"It's usually a pretty good show for me. We bring our camper, and it works out to be a pretty nice week," said Sheldon, who has been attending the Hot Springs event for 15 years.

"It's a good enough show that I keep coming back," she said.

So does Phil McCauley, who now lives in Hot Springs.

McCauley, who previously lived in Casper, Wyo., would travel to Hot Springs for the festival.

"We just come out and browse the fair. We do this every year, and we get to taste a lot of interesting things. Yummy! I'm really impressed with the fair," he said Friday.

Marsha Miller of Hot Springs accompanied McCauley.

"I love this fair. We were here last year, too, and we just love it," she said. "It's really a nice craft fair."

Lance Burgan of Hot Springs, an ambassador of the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, was attending the fair for the first time Friday.

"I spent all my money, and I've only been to half of it," he said.

The festival continues from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
