Business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs and area students are being encouraged to attend a business fair Thursday, Oct. 16, at Black Hills State University.
The "Dakota Rising Entrepreneur Fair" is a statewide initiative that aims to help grow businesses in rural areas. To encourage development in the Spearfish area, a $10,000 Dakota Fellowship Grant is offered.
The workshop is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Jacket Legacy Room on the top floor of the BHSU student union adjoining the main parking area off University Street.
The business fair is free and open to the public. For details, call Bryan Walker with the Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce economic development office, 642-3832.
