Custer State Park has hired Jayme Severyn to fill the vacant building engineer position.

Severyn, a native of Vivian who has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology and an associate's degree in technical drafting from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, will be transferring from the Pierre office of Game, Fish & Parks. He has served there as a draftsman for the past 2-1/2 years.

"Jayme's development/construction management background and experience will serve Custer State Park well with all that is going on today and into the future," Richard Miller, regional manager at Custer State Park, said.

Severyn's wife, MaKayla, and their two sons, Dylan and Zayne, will join him in his move to Custer.
