RAPID CITY - The Rapid City Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred early Monday morning at a residence in the 100 block of East St. Joseph Street.
Sgt. Dale McCabe said witnesses told officers that a man entered the residence and stabbed another man in the shoulder and chest with a kitchen knife. The victim was taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital with what appeared to be superficial wounds, McCabe said.
The assailant has not been identified, and no arrests have been made, McCabe said. There were no other injuries. McCabe said alcohol was involved in the incident.
