The Rapid City man accused of taking aim at passing cars with a bow and arrow Monday evening from a Rapid City street made his initial court appearance Tuesday.

Loren Two Bulls, aka Loren Reyna, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of misdemeanor theft of lost or mislaid property. Aggravated assault is a class 3 felony.

Two Bulls, 23, faces a preliminary hearing April 22 with magistrate judge William Severns.

Rapid City police arrested Two Bulls on Monday night after receiving reports he had been taking aim at passing vehicles while standing in the middle of East Boulevard North.

Police received calls from the occupants of two passing cars and identified six victims - a 29-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman, a 19-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, and two children, ages 1 and 2. All live in Rapid City, and none were injured or struck by arrows. One witness reported seeing Two Bulls shoot at a car, according to police.

Two Bulls was armed with a high-tension compound bow and multiple arrows, police said.

He was also found in possession of a large utility razor knife, was bleeding from one hand and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, according to police.

Police are still trying to find out how Two Bulls got the bow and arrow.

"We're still trying to find out where the bow came from," Capt. Deb Cady of the Rapid City Police Department said. "He said that he found it."

Two Bulls' bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety. He remained in Pennington County Jail as of Tuesday afternoon.
