At least 14 performances by dancers and musicians, including the Abbey Road Band and Kenny Putnam, will perform Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Elks Theatre in downtown Rapid City for the "Send Mike to Mayo" benefit concert.

The performances begin at 7 p.m.

The concert is a fundraiser for Rapid City photographer Mike Wolforth, who has been plagued with chronic knee problems for years. He has undergone surgery at least five times, and he hopes the doctors at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota might have a solution.

His friends, colleagues and the staff at Black Hills Faces Magazine are organizing the fundraiser to help pay some of the expenses.

Staged as a variety show, the event will include performances by the Abbey Road Band; David Anthony; James Van Nuys; Kenny Putnam; David Love; Al Spreizer; Top Hats & Roses; the Central Drum Line; Beth Lytle; Juice Break; Gerald, Jim and Gabe Yellow Hawk; Josh Balt; Paige McPherson; and Paul Peterson.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the show. Tickets are available at the Elks Theatre, the James Van Nuys Gallery and by phone at 343-2449.
