A traditional buffalo feed, a drum group, a muzzle loader group, street theater, wagon rides, kids' activities and music will highlight the Hot Springs Fall Heritage Festival from Friday through Sunday, Sept. 18-20.
Friday's events include the buffalo feed, the "Wind Spirit Drum" performance group, Native American artisans, and the Red Wall Muzzle Loaders at the Allen Ranch.
On Saturday, Hot Springs will celebrate 126 years of architecture, art and history throughout downtown with the Local Yokels street theater featuring vignettes with Calamity Jane, Badger Clark, Fred Evans & the Colorado Kid, plus a Victorian Tea, an herb walk and herbal medicines, an old-fashioned hog roast, children's activities, Plein Air artists in the park, wagon rides, storytelling and music. The day finishes with the Oktoberfest polka band and food at the Flatiron restaurant.
Sunday will feature Cowboy church and a community picnic.
