Mountain lions with satellite collars around their necks are behaving in surprising ways, and the forests, the water towers of the West, are losing their ability to store and filter water.
Those are among topics of presentations scheduled for the annual fall conference of the Dakotas Chapter of the Society of American Foresters today in Lead.
The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Golden Hills Resort and Thursday morning at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
The fee for the conference is $75, which covers lunch. For more information, go to www.safnet.org.
