PIERRE - The superintendent of the South Dakota Highway Patrol says almost every lawman across the state will be on the lookout for drunk drivers over the holidays.
Col. Dan Mosteller says troopers are planning to conduct 25 saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints across the state before the New Year.
The Highway Patrol and 66 local police departments and sheriffs' offices will be participating in the effort.
Mosteller suggests that anyone partying over the holidays have a designated driver or take a cab or bus home.
