Rapid City American Legion Auxiliary Units 22 and 320 are seeking junior girls interested in citizenship to participate in Girls State. Applications may be picked up at school counselor's offices and must be returned to them by March 14.

Girls state brings together young women from across the state for a week of intensive training in citizenship and government. Participants take an active part in the week's activities and get a thorough understanding of the workings of government.

This year's session runs from May 26-31.
