Recruiters from 73 employers from 19 states, including 20 from South Dakota, registered for Tuesday's career fair at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. They were offering full-time jobs as well as internships.
Darrell Sawyer, director of the school's career center, said the turnout shows a strong interest in hiring Mines' students despite the national recession. "The long-range outlook remains strong for careers in engineering and science," he said.
