CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL - Author Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve of Rapid City will be discussing her latest book, "Lakota Women," on Thursday, June 7, during the Thursday night Summer Performance and Lecture Series program at Crazy Horse Memorial.

Sneve said her writing is an extension of being a teacher and a counselor and that she tries to be open and honest about American Indian experiences in her work.

She has written more than 20 books and numerous short stories and essays about Indian life, and her writing is based on her experiences growing up on Rosebud Indian Reservation.

The free program will begin at 6 p.m.
