Two street-construction projects in downtown Rapid City will begin in the next two weeks.
Effective Tuesday, Sept. 4, traffic will be restricted on Main Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street for pavement repairs.
The following week, repair work will begin on St. Joseph Street between Second Street and Third Street.
The pavement repairs in both locations should be completed by Oct. 19, according to a news release from the city.
Also, effective Tuesday, Sept. 4, Soo San Drive between Canyon Lake Drive and Hall Street will be open to traffic. The one-block section of Soo San Drive between Hall Street and West Main Street will remain closed for construction until Friday, Sept. 7. During this time, motorists should consider using alternate routes.
Also, effective Tuesday, Evergreen Drive at Cottonwood Street will be closed to through traffic for construction work. The work will then continue north on Evergreen Drive to Leland Lane and should be completed by Oct. 12.
