SIOUX FALLS - Lawyers in the Sioux Falls trial of two Hells Angels give their closing arguments Tuesday, then jurors will start deliberating.
Chad Wilson of San Diego and John Midmore of Valparaiso, Ind., are charged with five counts of attempted murder. If convicted of any of those crimes, they could also be found guilty of commission of a felony while armed.
Prosecutors said Wilson and Midmore tried to kill five Outlaws Motorcycle Club members and acquaintances in 2006 at Custer State Park, but Wilson testified he was ambushed by the Outlaws and fired in self-defense.
Jury selection started Nov. 3 and the first witnesses were called Nov. 5.
Prosecutors called 43 witnesses to testify, including the five people shot.
Defense lawyers had four witnesses, including Wilson.
