A Whitewood man was killed Saturday in a head-on collision with a semi trailer in eastern Wyoming.
Roland Ashton, 67, of Whitewood collided head-on Saturday morning with a loaded tractor trailer west of Orin Junction in Converse County. Ahston's accident was one of three fatal crashes in Wyoming over the Independence Day weekend.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that three people died in traffic accidents in the state over the holiday weekend.
Terence Buckner, 45, of Columbiaville, Mich., died shortly before 8 a.m. Friday when the pickup truck he was riding in rolled over on Interstate 90, west of Sundance in Crook County.
James F. Pigg, 49, of Saratoga, died Friday evening when the pickup truck he was riding in rolled over on Interstate 80 east of Rawlins. Troopers say alcohol may have been a factor.
